That Stupid -GRY Question

In a nutshell - this riddle is a hoax. The "gry" part of the riddle is to make you think of gry words, when the REAL question being asked is something totally different.

Take a look at these riddles:

Q: What is Bozo the Clown's middle name?
A: THE

Q: Who is buried in Grant's tomb?
A: Grant

Q: Can you spell Mississippi?
A: Yes, I can.
Q: Spell it.
A: M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I.
Q: Wrong! I said, "Spell IT! I-T!"

Now read the riddles below with GRY in them:

GRY Riddle #1:Think of three words ending in gry. Angry and hungry are two of them. There are three words in the English language. What is the third word? The word is something everyone uses every day. If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is.
GRY Answer #1:KEY PHRASE: There are three words in the English language.
The third word in "the English language" is LANGUAGE. The part of the question about words ending in gry is just to distract you.
GRY Riddle #2:(This version is easy when you see it written, but when spoken, it can be very confusing.)
I am thinking of three common short words that each end in G or Y. One is ANGRY and a second is HUNGRY. The third word is even shorter and more common. You probably say it every day. In fact almost every English speaker will say the third word several times daily. I am certain you know it, but can you say what it is yet? If you have been listening carefully, I have already used it 3 times.
GRY Answer #2:Seeing "G or Y" in print instead of "GRY" is a dead giveaway. If you look through the text, you will find that the word "say" is the only word ending in G or Y that is used 3 times. It also fits the other clues about how short and common it is, so the answer is "say."
GRY Riddle #3:This version only works when spoken:

There are three words in English that end in "gree." The first two are "angry" and "hungry," and if you've listened closely, you'll agree that I've already told you the third one.

GRY Answer #3:The answer is "agree." The object is to make the listener think about the letters g-r-y instead of the sound "gree."
GRY Riddle #4:Angry and hungry are two words in the English language that end in "gry." What is a third word. The word is something that everyone uses everyday. If you have listened carefully, I have already told you what it is.
GRY Answer #4:KEY PHRASE: What is a third word. It's not a question! The answer to this version is "what" -- "What" is the third word. There are quotation marks needed to make this answer correct when the puzzle is printed, but they give away the trick.
